NEMATODES
Nematodes are threadlike, microscopic, nonsegmented worms. They can cause significant reduction in root growth by feeding in or on developing roots, transmitting viruses and facilitating bacterial and fungal infections.
Typical above-ground symptoms of nematode damage are yellowing of the foliage, uneven, stunted growth and wilting of plants. Symptoms are often unspecific and easily confused with other stress factors such as drought, root-feeding by other pests, nutritional disorders or diseases.
